Your Privacy Choices

Last updated: May 28, 2026

This page explains the choices you can make about how Modern Musician — including the StreetTeam and Music Relic Marketplace services — handles personal information about you. It is intended to complement, not replace, our Privacy Policy, which contains the full details of what we collect and how we use it.

If you have questions or want to submit a request that isn’t covered below, email privacy@modernmusician.me and we’ll respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

1. Choices available to everyone

Access and correction.

If you have an account with us, most of the personal information we hold about you (such as your name, email, phone number, and profile details) can be viewed and updated directly in your account settings. For other information, or if you don’t have an account, contact us at privacy@modernmusician.me and describe what you’d like to access or correct.

Account deletion.

If you are signed in to your StreetTeam account, you can request deletion of your account from your account settings. We will send a confirmation email to the address on file before any data is removed. If you can’t sign in, email privacy@modernmusician.me from the address associated with your account. After we delete your account, certain information may remain in our records where we are required or permitted by law to retain it (for example, billing records, fraud-prevention logs, or records subject to a legal hold), as described in the Privacy Policy.

Marketing communications.

You can opt out of marketing emails from Modern Musician at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email, or by emailing privacy@modernmusician.me. You will continue to receive transactional messages (such as password resets and billing notices) unless your account is deleted.

If you receive communications from an artist or workspace that uses StreetTeam (for example, a newsletter or SMS broadcast sent through our platform), those communications are controlled by the sending artist or workspace, and unsubscribe requests should be directed to them. Each communication will include the relevant unsubscribe path.

2. About “sale” and “share” of personal information

We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money or other valuable consideration. We do not allow third parties to use your personal information for their own marketing purposes (except where you have explicitly directed us to share it, such as at an event or via an integration you have enabled).

In some cases, when an artist or workspace using our platform enables an advertising integration (for example, syncing audiences with Meta or Google to reach customers and look-alikes), limited end-user information — such as email address or phone number, hashed where supported — may be transmitted to those advertising platforms on behalf of that artist or workspace. Under certain state privacy laws, this kind of transmission may be considered a “share” for cross-context behavioral advertising even though no money changes hands. If you are a fan or end user and you would like us to exclude your information from advertising audiences synced on behalf of an artist that uses StreetTeam, email privacy@modernmusician.me with the subject line “Opt out of advertising audience sync” and let us know which artist or workspace your request relates to.

3. California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them, the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, the right to request that we delete or correct your personal information, the right to opt out of the “sale” or “share” of your personal information (as those terms are defined under California law), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Section 6 of our Privacy Policy describes these rights in more detail.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@modernmusician.me with a description of the request. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf; we will ask the agent to provide written proof of authorization and may ask you to verify the agent’s authority directly.

4. Residents of the EEA, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose privacy laws give you specific rights regarding your personal information (such as access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent), you can exercise those rights by emailing privacy@modernmusician.me. Section 6 of our Privacy Policy describes the legal bases we rely on to process your information and how to contact a supervisory authority if you believe your rights have not been respected.

5. How we verify your request

Before fulfilling a request that involves access to, deletion of, or correction of personal information, we will take reasonable steps to verify that the request is coming from the person whose information it concerns. In most cases this means confirming that the request was sent from, or can be confirmed using, the email address associated with the account or record at issue. If we are unable to verify a request, we may decline it, ask for additional information, or limit the response to non-sensitive information.

6. Changes to this page

We may update this Your Privacy Choices page from time to time to reflect changes in our products, our integrations, or applicable law. The current version will always be available at https://streetteam.fm/legal/privacy-choices with the “Last updated” date shown above. For the full description of how we handle personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
